Public performance rights
All purchases include public performance rights. Performance rights are assigned to the purchasing institution only and restricted to screenings that take place at the premises of the purchasing institution, or at events sponsored by the purchasing institution, not including public media broadcast.
This video is eminently suitable for public performance, ideally with accompanying panel and audience discussion.
Multi-institutional joint purchase
Institutions with limited purchase funds are welcome to request joint purchase with a second group or institution. Both parties are granted full performance rights. However, the purchase must be paid in full through a single institutional purchase order. We cannot bill multiple institutions or be responsible for collecting multiple payments for a single purchase. Please be sure to indicate that your order is a multi-institutional joint purchase and include the name of any joint purchase partner-institution on the original Purchase Order.
Preview copies
A preview copy is available only to US institutions contemplating purchase. The non-refundable preview fee of US$25.00 is fully deductible from the purchase cost of any format. Preview copies are available in VHS-NTSC format only. Preview copies must be returned prior to shipment of any purchase.
Preview copies may not be used for educational or other audience screenings. The right to preview the video prior to purchase is restricted to those responsible for the purchase decision. Duping of preview tapes is expressly forbidden.
Preview copies must be returned promptly by UPS or Fedex within ten days of receipt or the institution will be billed for the full cost of the video. No returns will be permitted after 21 days from the date of shipment. Return shipments must be insured in full and are the responsibility of the institution who requested the preview copy.
Please note: Requests for a preview copy should be made by purchase order and must include the name and phone number of the librarian, curator or other individual responsible for the receipt, oversight, and prompt return of the video.
Quality
This initial offering of Not For Sale guarantees that all tapes have been duplicated in real time directly from the master to assure the highest possible image quality.
Format/Price List The video is available in five formats.
Discounts
Discounts are available only to institutions wishing to purchase a VHS "classroom" copy along with an Archival format copy, or on purchases of five or more copies in any format. Please inquire.
Shipping
Ground shipping and handling by UPS within the continental US is included in the purchase
price.
Overseas shipping and insurance are additional. The receiving institution is responsible for
any additional charges of any kind made by postal or customs officers.
Method of Payment
Purchase orders will be accepted only from institutions known to us. Payment on all purchase orders is due within 30 days of receipt. For international orders, please provide a Federal Express or UPS account number for delivery, or add an additional $50.00 to the purchase price to cover the cost of shipment and insurance.
